Then Aaron shall lay both of his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over it all the iniquities of the sons of Israel and all their transgressions in regard to all their sins; and he shall lay them on the head of the goat and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who stands in readiness. The goat shall bear on itself all their iniquities to a solitary land; and he shall release the goat in the wilderness.[Leviticus 16:21,22]

When it comes to theology, I think too little emphasis is placed upon this wonderful subject. Salvation is more than just being saved, delivered from one’s sins. I hope to undertake all that salvation entails, and I will start with the teaching of expiation. Expiation is the removal of one’s guilt from them. It makes them innocent before God. If you asked someone if innocent and not guilty are the same, they’d more than likely say they were. However, they are not the same. If one is tried for a crime and they’re found not guilty, it does not mean, necessarily, they did not commit the crime, but that the prosecutor did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt they did the crime. If they’re found innocent, it means it was proven they didn’t do that crime they were tried for. This is where expiation explains how our guilt is removed from us and all believers. When Aaron confessed all the transgressions and iniquities of Israel, they were transferred from the ppl unto that goat who then took them into the wilderness, never to return. Now, it’s my opinion this is figurative, showing us how the Lamb of God became our Scapegoat and transferred our sins unto Himself, He then carried them in His flesh as He hung, bled and died upon the cross, expiating, removing our guilt from us.

Let me further clarify what I hope to bring out this teaching teaches. All our sins are forgiven when we’re saved. This includes all sins, past, present, and future. When our accuser(Satan) accuses us before the Father, the Father does not see our sins, as our guilt has been removed from us, which even includes our future sins. This does not mean I am neglecting the need of repentance, neither am I saying believers are sinless, either. We sin and when we sin we better repent. Yet, our sins have already been forgiven. This blows my mind as I write this, yet I believe both of these, the forgiveness of all our sins, even future sins, have been forgiven and the necessity of repentance of sins are both clearly taught in the scriptures.

As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.[Psalm 103:12] Here we see how far our guilt, our sins have been taken from us. If you start walking west, no matter how long you walk west, you will never meet east. When the accuser(Satan) accuses us before the Father…I say this in fear, not trying to speak for God, but to give an example…He is like, “What sins? I do not see them. All I see is one of My children you are trying to accuse.” Our guilt is no longer there. It has been taken from us, taken away from us as far as the east is from the west.

He will again have compassion on us; He will tread our iniquities under foot. Yes, You will cast all their sins Into the depths of the sea.[Micah 7:19] Here we see another example of how far removed our guilt is taken from us. There is a place in the Pacific Ocean(Mariana trench) that is approximately 7 miles deep. And our guilt is removed from us and cast into the depths of the sea. The guilt is in the deepest sea, never to float to the surface again.

I will close this post and pray that I have presented this in a cogent manner. May God truly bless you is my prayer.
